What was your favorite class in high school?

My favorite class in high school was my AP Spanish class with Dr. Sherer. He was just awesome.

When we are not having to shelter in place, what do you love to do in Athens?

I love to play soccer. I also like being active and going to the gym. Right now actually I am also working with my dad a lot because that is considered one of the essential workers. I have been doing that ever since Spring break.

What else have you been doing with all of your extra time?

I have been applying for scholarships. It sucks because I cannot really hang out with my friends so that is truly annoying. It sucks to not be able to bond with other people in general. I am actually seeing now how important it is to devote time to our pets you know? They are home all day. You have to take time for your pets too.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

I would probably want to see Greece. They have some beautiful beaches and it is just Greece. It looks so pretty! It looks like a paradise pretty much.

If you could see any band, dead or alive, anywhere, who would it be and where?

I would love to see The Backstreet Boys in Atlanta in a big stadium.

If you could have lunch with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and where?

I would like to meet some greek god, some type of ruler from back then. I think it would be a little different to see how they actually were and learn about  all those shenanigans. I don’t know where I would want to go with the greek god, they would probably be dressed all spiff. Maybe out in some sand dune out there just eating some barbs or something.

If you could give someone advice just entering high school, what would you tell them?

The most important thing is to realize why you are going to school, you know? Some people go to school to just mess around and have fun and cool out with friends. Some others just go for a boyfriend or girlfriend they like. The ultimate goal I guess is that school is trying to set you up for your future. They have to look at school differently, not just like it is a pastime. Your future can really be dictated by your school performance.

What is the best advice that you have ever received?

The best advice I have ever received was from Dr. Sherer. He really understands where I come from and what I stand for. He was just telling me that I can’t really make excuses you know because someone else really has it much harder than me. It is one of those things where you look deeper into what he said, kids make excuses for anything.  I can do anything you know? I am capable of anything.

What is your favorite movie or series?

I have been watching this one series called All American, and it is so good. It is a really good series.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?

In ten years, my ultimate goal is to one day live in California. That is one of my main goals. I just love it out there. Maybe getting married or something and doing something in law.

What are three words or phrases that come to mind when you think of the word “home”?

Love, loyalty and dependable.
