Tram Tran was born and raised in Worcester, Massachusetts until she moved to Hartwell, Georgia when she was fifteen years old where she attended high school. She moved to Athens in 2012 to attend Athens Technical College and because she loved the city. She is a trainer at 9 Round East Athens location and does nails at Gallery Nails & Spa in Loganville, Georgia. She currently resides with her sister, Lo, brother, Kyle, dog, Farley, and cats, Thumper and Cisco.

 

 

What led to or inspired your current careers?

 

I have been doing nails since I was sixteen years old and it is good money. I started working at 9 Round so I could work out. I enjoy it. I am going back to school at Athens Tech in January for nursing.

 

What is your favorite restaurant in Athens, and what do you love there?

 

La Parilla. My favorite thing to eat is the Mexican Tacos.

 

What artist or band, dead or alive, would you love to see at The Georgia Theatre?

 

The Revivalists. They put on an awesome show!

 

What is your favorite thing to do in Athens?

I love to bar hop around downtown. My favorite places to go are ALLGOOD Lounge and Wonder Bar where you can play games.

 

What is something interesting most people don’t know about you?

 

Most people don’t know that I used to be a bartender at Athens Arena.

 

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

 

I would go to Vietnam to visit with my grandma.

 

What is something on your bucket list?

 

I want to skydive and bungee jump because I am terrified of heights, and I like to challenge myself.

 

What is your favorite movie or the first one you saw in a movie theatre?

 

50 First Dates. I can’t tell you how many times I have seen that movie.

 

What is your favorite piece of advice you like to share with others?

 

Life goes on.

 

What three words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word “home”?

 

Cats, couch and naked.
